Adam--I loved the film as much as you did; however, you certainly 'digested' it in greater depth than I. I also found myself wanting the Julie scenes to fly by so that the screen could be filled with the sensual images of the Julia preparations (Amy Adams was delightful in her role, but Meryl Streep, well, who can compete with perfection?) As you know,I,too, have been lucky enough to experience your mother's extraordinary cooking; however, I do not have the fortitude or patience to practice the fine art of of planning, marketing, cooking, tasting and finally enjoying perfectly prepared cuisine...sigh! You, however come by it naturally. Thanks for the blog. I am passing it on.....Beverly
